Dr. David Rodriguez is a celebrated Oral Surgeon and Dentist, with expertise in oral rehabilitation and fixed prosthodontics. With over 25 years of experience in the dental field, he is a fixture of the faculty at the Universidad Finis Terrae, where he teaches Oral Rehabilitation to postgraduate students. For the university, David divides his time between running classroom lectures and student clinics, and managing his own private dental practice in Clinica Estoril (Las Condes, Santiago, Chile). David also runs the Occlusion program for his department. The course runs 80 hours, for which David conducts the advanced planning and curriculum development each semester.
A proud alumnus of the Universidad Finis Terrae, David completed his master’s degree in Oral Rehabilitation from the University in 2014. He also holds a specialty in Oral Rehabilitation from the Universidad de Chile (1997), and completed a diploma in Teaching Dentistry and a master’s degree in Pedagogy from the Universidad Mayor (2009). For the international dental community, he was invited to participate in two Clinical Poster Presentations for the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (2011 and 2012).
David resides in Santiago, Chile and speaks fluent English and Spanish. He hopes to use his technical expertise, training, and administrative leadership background earned in 10 years as Academic Secretary at the University of Finis Terrae to direct a dental school and become more involved in the dental accreditation process in Chile. Upon recognition of his work by his peers, David received Certification in Accreditation, which enables him to accredit universities across Latin America, including Mexico. He works closely with the Commission of Dental Association, looking to streamline the whole process to match it better with international standards.
David’s passion for teaching and his vast knowledge of dentistry is evident in all that he does.
