Anika Lewis is the founder and principal practitioner of Sarana Massages-Bien-Etre, a wellness and massage therapy studio based in Lyon, France. Founded in 2016, the firm offers a comprehensive range of Swedish, deep tissue, Ayurvedic and sports massage services. Inspired by the Tibetan word for “refuge,” Sarana Massages’ mission is to serve as a place of refuge and calm for client to retreat from the world and stressors, and focus on letting in the light.
After first earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Anika went on to earn a master's degree in Atmospheric Emissions from Industrial, Energy and Nuclear Systems from the University of Lyon Claude Bernard. She was then inspired to change course and pursue massage therapy by the overall and significant effect of a wellness massage she received. Entrepreneurial by nature, she had always wanted to open her own business, and once achieving her massage therapy certification establishing Sarana Massages-Bien Etre became the natural course.
Located in a quiet wellness area of Lyon, Sarana Massages-Bien Etre serves clients on a local and regional level, and is quickly gaining notice and word of mouth. Anika welcomes people without judgment and promotes activities in wellbeing through the Taoist philosophy, sometimes offering clients a different point of view than they may have received regarding a stress or issue, previously. Anika believes that to heal oneself one must take into account the mind, body and soul.
In her spare time Anika enjoys meditation, spending time with her friends and family, eating good food, hiking in the Alp Mountains and spending time in nature.
International Alumni Association Member Anika Lewis can be found on the Association Directory, where she is looking forward to networking with you.
