Anna Fraser has been teaching for 18 years and with this experience, she has helped students with foreign language. She has had the unique opportunity to travel the world in New Zealand and overseas while being Head Teacher for French and Spanish. She currently holds private teaching at her own school, Lingoanna, a school for all ages. Her goal is to teach and help students learn French, Spanish, and English as a second language, as well create Individualised Numeracy and Literacy Education Programs.
Anna traveled at a young age and became inspired to learn different languages. She lived in a small town where everybody knew everybody, so reputation mattered. She was well known for being intrigued by learning different languages so it was a natural progression for her. Despite the major success of her having her own teaching business and being a head teacher, her goal is to employ more teachers at the school and enforce children to love to learn with her motto: "For the Love of Learning and Results for the Teacher."
In her spare time, Anna likes to do volunteer work by taking dogs to the retirement home, working side by side with a blind woman who is a part of the "Blind Foundation of New Zealand.” She is also studying to get a qualification for "Animal Assistance Therapy." She loves to watch movies, kayak, hang out with friends, and most importantly spend time with her daughter and show her the world through travel.
Anna hopes to take advantage of all of the benefits that come along with being a member of the International Alumni Association. She looks forward to networking and collaborating with other professionals. She holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow (2001), and a Master of Arts from University of Aberdeen (1996). She is an affiliate of the Spanish Teacher Association of New Zealand & Australia (STANZA).
