Anne Pallier has been the Office Manager for Agency France Museums since 2011. The agency was founded by the French government for the sole purpose of opening the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum in the U.A.E. The agency is also a private entity with a Board of Directors and the shareholders are comprised of ten major French museums.
As Office Manager, Anne’s responsibilities include overseeing general office operations. Her main focus is the opening of the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi. She corresponds with all ten of the French museums since the agency acts as the operator in charge of coordinating the expertise of French museums for the project. The agency also arranges for works of art to be loaned to the new museum, and organizes the exhibitions. In accordance with an agreement between the two governments (France and U.A.E), several works of art will be loaned to the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi for several years in an effort to give them time to build their own permanent collection. Prior to working with Agence France Museums, Anne taught English as a Foreign Language.
She hopes to remain in the cultural sector in a more specific project management role and perhaps work for one of the ten French museums with which she currently interacts closely. She attributes her success to having good people skills, being able to deal with different personalities on various fronts, and being bi-lingual- she speaks both English and French fluently. She is most proud of having changed many procedures at Agence France Museums, creating new procedures, and organized the office operations of the agency.
She is currently working on the Louvre museum project in Abu Dhabi, opening in November 2017 and will soon move on to another project. She is looking forward to exchange with people in the arts and museums sector. Anne hopes to take advantage of all of the benefits that come along with being a member of the International Alumni Association. She looks forward to networking and collaborating with other professionals.
Anne received her BA degree in French, Management, and Art History from ESIAG and Mount Holyoke College. She went on to earn her MA in Teaching English as a 2nd Language from Rutgers University via the Women's Institute of Contemporary Education (WICE). In her personal time, she enjoys traveling, reading, horseback riding, and drawing. She resides in Paris, France.
