Chanan Golub is the Regional Commercial Finance Manager for the British Council of Israel. With a lifelong interest in finance and over 13 years of professional experience in accounting and finance at a senior level, he is driven by the desire to improve financial matters on an international scale. Recently promoted from the post of Head of Business Support Services and Finance, in his new role Chanan provides fiscal leadership and strategy across the region, ensuring compliance, efficiency and accountability on critical commercial partnerships and engagement.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The George Washington University School of Business in the United States, Chanan went on to complete an MBA from Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He launched his career with PwC, performing audits and reviews as a Senior Audit Associate. Prior to joining the British Council, Chanan was a Senior Accountant for Citi Private Equity Services, where he specialized in fund accounting and management company accounting.

Chanan resides in Ramat Gan, Israel, but frequently returns to the US. He credits his success to a willingness to keep learning and seeking new opportunities. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys travel, reading and sports.
