Charles Farquharson is a top Bahamian executive with over 30 years of experience in international trade and finance. Working his way up the ranks of Bacardi & Company, Ltd., he grew to become its Vice President of Operations, reporting directly to the President.
Having been a key fixture in the rum business for more than 30 years, in 2013 Charles turned his sights to the salt sector, becoming General Manager of Morton’s Salt, Ltd., one of the World’s most recognizable brands.
Charles holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, and went on to receive an Executive Master of Business Administration. He credits his success to being goal-oriented, having a vision, continually working to improve, and embracing the renewable energy movement.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Charles is an active member of the Kiwanis Club and enjoys fishing, basketball, playing dominoes and volunteer work. He finds great reward in mentoring up and coming professionals and helping companies in the industry, as a consultant.
