Christine Aufdehaar graduated from the Conservatory Lugano with a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance in 1999. She went on to continue her academic career at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, acquiring two more Degrees in Film Scoring and Classical Composition in 2001.
Currently, Christine is a Film Composer, and serves as a board member of the German Film Composers Union, and member of The Academy of German Music Authors, the German Film Academy and the GVL Society for Performing Artists.
Christine grew up in a music unfriendly family and had to fight against a lot of resistance. Nevertheless she had a very successful career. She has been the recipient of many awards and scholarships in the US, Germany and Switzerland. In 2007, members of the Federation of Film and Audiovisual Composers of Europe selected Christine Aufderhaar as European Composer 2008 for Switzerland, and she was nominated for the German Music Authors Award in 2013.
