Dr. Usamah Farrukh is a graduate of the University of Southern California. Today, with over 30 years of experience in his career, Dr. Farrukh is the past Chairman of RHU Department of Computer and Communication Engineering. His appointment at RHU lasted for eight years. Previous appointments involved administrative, teaching and research positions. Dr. Farrukh has always had a passion for teaching and is very proud of the relationships he has built with his students. He specializes in teaching and public speaking. He feels that teaching is a very important profession, and he enjoys the rewards his career has brought forth over the years.
Dr. Farrukh’s developed a software program that analysis the thermal behavior of high-power lasers. A reference to this important analytical tool was included in a publication by NASA in 1992. Although he is currently retired, Dr. Farrukh is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals. He earned his doctorate from University of Southern California. In his spare time, he enjoys nature walks, reading, and chess. Because of his specialization, Dr. Farrukh has a special interest in the history of technology and the history of science.
