Iman Qumhieh graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, going on to attain her Master’s Degree in Screen Design for Film and Television from Kingston University in the UK. She has been the Associate Creative Director for the last 4 years at a company called Eleven777 Advertising located in Dubai, but her overall career spans 13 years.

She was prompted to get involved with this career due to her love and passion for artistic things. In the next few years, she sees herself owning her own creative agency. She says that challenging herself and doing new things is important, and being open-minded is vital. Passion is one major key to her success, and is the key to what has kept her going for the last 12 years of her career.

Iman’s daily work as an Associate Creative Director within Eleven777 Design and Advertising agency in Dubai, every day presents various challenges, which she passionately and eagerly leads her team through. She strongly believes that creative work requires thinking critically and assessing the object of design and marketing to unlock the challenges and come out with the best final outcome.

She developed her skills in managing creative projects, teams and accounts within the company’s boutique agency. This October will mark her fourth anniversary of joining Eleven777. She tells us she is delighted to work closely with major and international corporations such as Hertz, Messi Frankfurt, Jumeirah Hotels, Burj Al Arab- the most luxurious hotel in the world, Armani Hotel Dubai and Emaar Hospitality Group and its several hotel brands within. One of her recent major recent projects was the launching of Address Boulevard, the 5-star luxurious hotel in the heart of Downtown Dubai back in the beginning of this year, where Iman and her team worked on a full creative and marketing campaign, supervising the project till it saw the light. Iman says one of the most exciting moments is to watch her work turn from sketches and basic ideas to an intricate and multi-facade project.

Some of her other work includes the Ramadan Campaign Project and the Reel Cinema Mobile App Campaign in Dubai Mall. One major project she is personally proud of is the main key visual for the Beautyworld Exhibition show over the Middle East and Japan, as part of many exhibitions that Messi Frankfurt handles yearly. This holds a dear spot in her heart, as it was not only one of the very first projects she had to design when first joining Eleven777, but it was also extremely challenging. It forced her step out of her comfort zone to explore new avenues of creative routes, with the main goal of achieving something that the client will be thrilled with. The task was to create a main key visual that would be the face of many shows across Dubai, Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka with a way to differentiate between each of the cities spanning over three years, 2015, 2016 and 2017. It combined both photography and illustration approaches, and took the span of 6 months to complete. In addition to advertising and branding, Iman has found herself loving motion design the most. It was the primary focus of her studies during her Masters at Kingston University, and what she admired most during her six year career in broadcasting for MBC Group (Middle East Broadcasting Center) in Dubai. This experience equipped her with solid skills of time management and working within tight deadlines, in addition to a great understanding of daily news and the TV industry.

She tells us that nothing can prepare you for what you will face in this life. Each step in life is an experience by itself, and with each project she takes on and each client she meets, she gets to add one more piece into this expanding world of her own. Challenges can be bliss for what they give us, and the opportunity to explore more corners we never knew before in our selves. She is glad that she had her share of those challenges that gave her the knowledge and experience she is grateful for today.

In her spare time, she is affiliated with an organization called Wright Priority, which helps women in need in Jordan and brings awareness to what women face in society. She also enjoys traveling, photography, and reading. She resides in Sharjah, UAE.
