With over 20 years of professional experience, María Belén Misle is a specialist in art history with an emphasis on art interpretation of Latin America cultures. She is Advisor to Latinart Forum, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Art History from the University of Berne, to be completed later this year.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Translation from the Interpreting School Zurich, María Belén went on to complete dual master’s degrees: in Arts History from Adolfo Ibáñez University, and in Liberal Arts Philosophy with high honors from Georgetown University. A published author, she penned "From the Silence of Enclosure" and " The monster that lies within me Art Catalogue." She launched her career in interpreting, and also has experience as a teacher and professor.
Dedicated to her job and to bringing international awareness to the robust Latin arts community, María Belén works with partner historical organizations to coordinate exhibits and events. She excels in strategic development and international relations, and is an impassioned leader in the nonprofit sector.
María Belén resides in Berne, Switzerland, where outside of her professional and research endeavors she enjoys travel, walking and music.
