Maria de la Cruz Salazar Bello is a renowned psychologist running her own private practice in Madrid, Spain. With over 21 years of experience in therapy and mental health, she is an integrative counseling therapist and works with individuals and families, specializing in adolescents and adults. She also tackles more severe mental health issues such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). When applicable, she conducts Skype sessions as well as traditional office sessions, coordinates nursing interventions for elderly patients, and facilitates business and community workshops.
With a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude in Psychology from Saint Louis University, Maria also holds a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. In addition, she received a master’s degree in Psychotherapy, Integrative Perspective from the University of Alcalá de Henares, and holds a Homologation degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is also certified as a European Psycho-Therapist Europsy, specializing in Psychotherapy.
Maria speaks fluent English and Spanish, and has helped to translate psychiatric literature. She is a member of APOP, Psychoanalytic Operative Psychotherapy Association, and Integrative Psychotherapy Association. Crediting her success to being able to "keep on," work hard and continue to grow, she encourages up and coming mental health professionals to stay dedicated and pursue their interests.
