Ofer Braun began his professional career in 1983 after graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Today, he is the CEO and Founder of Daedalus Systems Engineering, providing system engineering services for large-scale, complex programs involving technological innovations. Operating mainly in the aerospace and electro-optical industries, their core competencies are Systems Engineering, Development of electro-optic systems, and Management of the development of complex products that are incorporated in a wide range of disciplines. They also maintain a special emphasis on business process in international markets. Their main service areas include Business Development and Marketing, Managing Technological Organization, Managing Large Technological Programs, and System Engineering.

Prior to Daedalus, Ofer led the space borne cameras business line under which the Israel space borne cameras were developed and manufactured. In 1993 he left the company and decided to start his company, Bar-Kal Systems Engineering Ltd., which developed airborne hyperspectral remote sensing technology both for defense and civil markets. In this capacity, and for more than 10 years, he also was IMOD’s consultant for all electro optical development programs. In 2008 Elbit system of Israel acquired the company and merge it into its EO division. In 2013, Ofer left Elbit and started Daedalus Systems Engineering.

After 35 years as the company’s CEO, Ofer continues to be an innovator in his field. As he continues to grow personally and professionally, he constantly seeks new challenges and activities, among them are new start-ups and educational activities for children in his community. He resides in Zoran, Israel.
