Rosa Regalado is the owner Kuusa Environmental Solutions, an environmental consulting company established in 2009 in Quito, Ecuador. Their primary goal is to satisfy the ever growing need of big and small Ecuadorian companies to comply with environmental regulations and requirements, which have strengthened through time and nowadays provide the foundation for proper environmental management and sustainable development in our country. Rosa has been an owner and manager of Kuusa for the past 8 years. Her average day consists of coordinating and supervising projects, environmental studies and audits. Performing environmental compliance audits, environmental impact studies/assessments, environmental management plans, environmental inspection and sampling, environmental liability Inspection, remediation plans, and environmental registrations, they are quickly becoming a leading consulting firm in the environmental field.

Rosa’s motivation for getting involved in this career and starting her business was her educational foundation. She holds an undergraduate degree in Geography and Environment, and a MSc in Environmental Science from West Texas AM University (2008). It was a natural progression for her to be involved in the field since her father is also in the business. Her father is a partner in the company and is about to retire and Rosa is in the process of taking over his role.

The key to Rosa's success, she says, is her hard work, long hours, and trying to stay on the right path. She says that her biggest accomplishment and achievement is having her own company and business. In her free time, she enjoys soccer, reading, martial arts and being involved in a volunteer group that helps the homeless. She is a member of the Collegiate Environmental Engineer Society, and her home is in Quito, Ecuador.
