Roxana Sztyglic is a distinguished graduate of Lesley University class of 2010, holding a Masters degree in Art Therapy. Roxana was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and launched her career in 1985 after moving to Israel. She became a teacher in her local community and saw the unfair treatment of children with disabilities in the schools. Roxana decided to start an art program, and is currently working with in the local school system with over seventy students. She teaches art as well as group/private sessions where students paint and perform therapeutic artistic activity with adults and youth.
Roxana has spent years in the field and has been involved in performing research in the area of disability research. Focusing on students that struggle in with learning disabilities, she developed her knowledge in art therapy, analyzing the thought process of her clients. She began working on a book explaining her theory of the three-dimensional thinking process some people have. She is also quite interested in mathematics and physics. She is constantly searching for answers for community of students and parents that need education in the areas of learning disabilities, such as how to communicate, and grow with the help of art therapy.
As Roxana is passionate about creating an everlasting impact on her community and profession, she understands the feelings that are invoked by art. She greatly enjoys nature; her favorite activity is to walk through nature and illustrate to her audience how she views the world. Her primary goal is to network with a group of distinguished professionals willing to work together to make developments and educate the community. She also enjoys swimming, kayaking and painting in her spare time.
