Stephan Luhrmann studied law at the University of California, Berkeley, completing his LLM in 2013. Currently, Stephan is working as a partner for Urrutia & Cía Abogados. He believes that without his LLM from Berkeley, his goal to become partner for a corporation would not have been achieved. Being branded as a lawyer with a postgraduate title at Berkeley launched him to the next level. He oversees the dispute resolution department, providing legal counsel to local and foreign corporations, in areas of civil and commercial law, energy, insurance, and administrative law. He has successfully represented his clients before local ordinary courts, arbitrators, local arbitration entities, ICC, among others.

In addition to the IAA, he is a member of the International Lawyers Association. He enjoys riding go-carts in his spare time, and resides in Santiago, Chile.
