Susie Cooke is a partner at Deloitte Canada, where she offers expert Tax Management Consulting services. With over 12 years of experience in the field, she is a self-motivated and enterprising, professional with expertise in tax risk management, tax accounting, and tax function co-sourcing. She leads the development and expansion of services focused around the analysis of clients’ tax functions, and manages global projects.

After earning a Bachelor of Science BSc (Hons Dunelm) degree in Physics and Maths from Durham University, UK, Susie went on to gain her chartered accountancy qualification with  the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).  In addition to being a Fellow of the ICAEW (FCA), Susie is a member of the Certified Public Accountants of Ontario (CPA, CA). 

Over the course of her career, Susie has been responsible for strategizing with organizations to develop effective tax functions, enabling them to derive optimal value from their people, processes, technology tools and systems.  She has presented at various conferences and events across Canada and globally and has published several papers on topics ranging from tax technology, risk management, post-merger integration and governance of tax.

Over the next 3 to 5 years, Susie hopes to further enhance her own brand. She utilizes her strong communication and presentation skills to build key business relationships, identify go-to-market opportunities and pursue potential sales.

Susie resides in Toronto, Ontario, where in her spare time she enjoys baking, cooking, travel and cycling.
