Dr. Yehuda (Didi) Matza is Chief Scientist and Co-Founder of Menri Group, Ltd. A celebrated immunologist, who studied and worked at the Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel) and Yale University (New Haven, CT, USA). His work is focused on research and development, testing new drugs for various diseases, supervising lab activities, and coordinating funding and cultivating new opportunities for the foundation.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree, Didi went on to complete a Master of Science in Immunology from Tel Aviv University. He then earned his doctorate in Immunology from the Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel), and then relocated to the United States, where he became a Postdoctoral Fellow and then Associate research Scientist at Yale University (Department of Immunobiology, New Haven, CT, USA).
A distinguished scholar, prior to the foundation of the Menri Group LTD, Didi was a Senior Scientist for Biokine Therapeutics LTD, a Principal investigator for Hadassah Medical Center (Ein-Kerem, Jerusalem, Israel) and Tenure track Senior Lecturer at The Open University of Israel.
He has been recipient of many awards and accolades, including an Israel Science Foundation (ISF) grant, the Open University award, Hadassah University Hospital Outstanding Researcher award, the European Council’s Marie Curie International Re-Integration (IRG FP7) Grant, Cancer Research Institute (CRI) foundation postdoctoral fellowship, and a European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) long-term postdoctoral fellowship.
Looking ahead, he intends to branch further into entrepreneurship based on research endeavors. He resides in Jerusalem, Israel.
